It only takes a few minutes to whip up Cheese and Artichoke Dip. Frozen artichokes are cooked and blitzed in a processor before mixing with cheese, cream and mayo, and finally seasoned with pepper and Worcestershire sauce. It’s a totally delightful dish, and great as an appetizer or snack.

Cheese and Artichoke Dip will serve as a great opener to any event, large or small. Moreover, it can be made ahead of time and reheated in the oven or wrapped in foil on top of a grill, and you will find it tastes as if it was just made.

Here’s some suggested events when this dip would work a treat:

  • game day
  • Memorial day celebration
  • July 4th celebration
  • Labor day celebration
  • family picnics
  • casual dinner party
  • movie night

I think what I’m saying is, is that Cheese and Artichoke Dip can be served at almost any event.

This is a dish that hits high on the calorie meter, but that’s no surprise. To avoid over-consumption I served it in ramekins as individual portions. Alternatively, you can use a shallow overproof dish and let everyone dive in.

I prefer to serve this Cheese and Artichoke Dip recipe with baked crackers. They’re a simple platform for all those yummy flavors and add a nice crunch with every bite. Most importantly they are low in calories, and by the same token, baked flour tortillas are a great accompaniment too.
