Baileys Iced Coffee is a wonderful treat. It’s a rich, silky beverage with lots of character and the power to stimulate the mind. All you need is a few ingredients: strong cold brew; Baileys; cardamom and vanilla extract.
If you are like me, you may have overindulged during the holiday season. Do your body a favor and revive your cells by drinking some lemon and sage tea.
My mother swears by Guinness as an aid to lethargy. She usually has some in the fridge and whips it out whenever someone says they’ve been feeling rather lackluster or have been diagnosed anemic. Of course, she understands that many people, particularly those who do not drink beer, are unlikely to sup on a Guinness-filled drink, just like that. Instead she magics a frothy glass of Guinness punch as a compromise.
I’m starting my 12 Days of Christmas early this year, and my first recipe is….. Spiced Caribbean Sorrel.
Spiced Caribbean sorrel is an epic beverage that is everything you could possibly want in a drink during fall and winter.
This drink has been a staple in my family, and many of my friends’ families who hail from the Caribbean for many, many years. Anytime I have family over and I make spiced Caribbean sorrel, I have to deal with their excitement after a whiff of the sorrel and spices steeping. Their eyes dart around in anticipation, which is followed by rapid fire questions.
- Is that sorrel?
- What you put in it?
- When will it be ready?
It’s so funny, but I totally get their excitement.
