Black Olive Tapenade

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pitted black olives
  • 1 clove garlic sliced
  • 2 anchovies or 1 1/2 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp lemon zest and more for garnish
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2-3 fresh basil leaves

Equipment & Utensils

  • Food processor or powerful blender
  • Microplane or zester

Instructions

  • Pile ingredients into food processor or blender.
  • Pulse ingredients until you have an even texture.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and sprinkle with a little lemon zest.
  • Add a little more extra virgin olive oil if needed.
  • Serve with bread and crackers.
