Gochujang Glazed Alaskan Black Cod

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp gochujang
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp white miso
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 lb Alaskan black cod fillets

Equipment & Utensils

  • Basting brush
  • Parchment Paper
  • Medium/large baking sheet

Instructions

  • Place honey, lime juice, gochujang, soy sauce, miso and sesame oil in a bowl and whisk until combined to create glaze.
  • Divide glaze into two portions and place one portion in the fridge, and set the other aside.
  • Line baking sheet with parchment paper then place fillets on top.
  • Use the set aside portion of glaze to brush over cod fillets.
  • Once cod fillets have been brushed with glaze, cover with cling wrap and place in the fridge for one hour.
  • Once fish has marinated for one hour, remove from fridge and brush with the second portion of glaze.
  • Place baking tray under broiler set to high with the oven rack in the middle of the oven.
  • Allow to cook, checking regularly until flakes of the fish begin to pull away from each other,.
  • Serve immediately.
