Baileys French Toast is divine! It’s melt in your mouth good and totally worth the calories. Have some friends over for brunch and share this dish, it will be a satisfying culinary experience.
Baileys French Toast is the type of dish I save for a celebration. A holiday that I enjoy. It’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day today, a holiday hailed as the day of service. Every year, I take time out on MLK day to remember Martin Luther King Jr’s service to the civil rights movement. His fortitude and wisdom. I try to conjure those same qualities and consider how I could apply them to my life. With all that mindful processing it’s necessary to have something tasty to enjoy – right?
It took me no time at all to chomp down on two pieces of Baileys French Toast. Who can resist chunks of fruit and Baileys laced French toast drowned in maple syrup and a light dusting of confectioners’ sugar?
I was really lucky to get my hands on some really tasty brioche. The couple who live in the next apartment from me are culinary school students and they’re currently working on their baking skills. They gave me a wonderful warm brioche loaf and suggested I use it to make French toast – so I did! The brioche was perfect and as I sit here writing this blog, I am also working on a plan on how to bump into my neighbors very soon so that I can ask them for their brioche recipe.
My neighbors have shared some other tasty baked goods with me. Some pain au chocolat, caraway seed bread to name a few and I scoffed them down. They were delightful. However going forward, if they continue to share their work I’ll do my best to share some of it with you.
The next time you have something to celebrate give this recipe a try and let me know if you think.
